Khandvi Recipe


A delicious savoury made with gram flour and curds tempered with mustard seeds.It is a very famous gujarati dish. You can also enjoy it in your tea time or snacks.

Ingredients

2 cups bengal gram flour (besan)
2 cups buttermilk
7-8 cheese cubes or 1/4 grated coconut
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp asafoetida
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/4 tsp of mustard seeds
3-4 chopped green chillies
1 tsp of oil
1/4 tsp red chilly powder
Coriander leaves
table cover or clean space for spreading

Method

Pre-making
1. Mix well the besan,buttermilk,salt,turmeric powder

Preparation
1. In a pan put mixture put the gas on high heat.
2. Stir continuously till it gets thickens.
3. Put the mixture on table cover or clean place start spreading horizontally or vertically try to make as thin as possible
4. Process 3 should be repeated for the whole mixture and should be done speedily
5. Cut horizontally or vertically in rows.
6. Start making rolls of medium thickness.

Serving
1. Now pour rolls in a bowl.
2. Heat oil in pan and put mustard seeds, asafoetida and green chillies in it.
3. Now put the oil over the Bowl and garnish with coriander leaves,cheese or coconut.
4. Serve immediately.
