Missi Roti Recipe



Missi roti is one of the popular and traditional Indian roties,It is served with any kind of vegetable dishes or curry dishes.

Ingredients

2 cups Whole Wheat Flour (atta)
2 cups Gram Flour (Beasn)
1 tsp Cumin Seeds (jeera)
2 tbsp Dry fenugreek leaves (kasoori methi)
3 tbsp ghee/oil
1/4 tsp Red chili powder to taste
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp Ajwain
Salt to taste
Chopped coriander leaves
2 cups water

Method

1. Mix Wheat flour,gram flour, salt, chili powder, turmeric powder, Ajwain, cumin seeds, coriander leaves and mix well.
2. Make powder of fenugreek leaves and mix it to the flour.
3. Rub 1 tbsp ghee into the flour, slowly add water and make a soft dough and keep it covered with damp cloth for 30 minutes.
4. Make a stiff dough and make small balls.
5. Roll into small and thick rotis.
6. Pre-heat the girdle (tava) and cook the missi roti with oil or ghee.
7. Serve hot.
