Sabudana Khichadi Recipe

Sabudana Khichadi is a perfect breakfast or fasting meal option.It is used quite often in Gujarati and Marathi foods.

Ingredients

2 cups sago (sabudana) soaked for 7-8 hours
1 cups roasted and crushed peanuts
chopped coriander (dhania) leaves
2-4 green chillies
1 boiled potato
8-10 curry leaves
salt to taste
1 tbsp oil
1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
1 tsp lemon juice

Method

1. Cut the potato in small cubes
2. Heat the oil into pan add cumin seeds, green chillies, curry leaves.
3. Add potato cubes,salt and fry it for 5 mins.
4. Add the sabudana and peanuts.
5. Cook continuously till the coulour of sabudana is light golden.
6. Add lemon juice and mix it well.
7. Garnish with coriander and serve with curds.
