Upma Recipe



Upma Sooji is a great and light dish for breakfast it will ready in very less amount of time.

Ingredients

1/2 cup sooji (rawa, semolina flour)
2 tbsp oil
2 tbsp ghee
1/2 teaspoon black mustard seed (rai)
1/4 tsp asafoetida
1 chopped onion
1 chopped tomato
3-4 chopped green chilli
5-6 curry leaves
1 tsp urad dal
1 tsp cashew-nuts
1.25 cup water
1/2 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons chopped coriander (hara dhania)
1 cup curd
salt to taste

Method
1. Heat the ghee in tava and add sooji and soak it for 5 mins.
2. Heat oil in pan and add mustard seed and asafoetida.
3. Add urad dal, onion, green chillies,curry leaves and tomato and cook it till it turns golden brown.
4. Add water into the pan and boil it for 5 mins.
5. Add the water into the sooji in tawa.
6. Mix it well till sooji will absorb most of water.
7. Serve hot with lemon water,curd and garnish with coriander leaves and cashew-nuts.
