Besan Tikki with Gravy Recipe


Besan Tikki with Gravy is very yummy but heavy to eat and very famous in Sindhi Dishes, raw tikkies can be served as snacks with chutney or curd.

Ingredients

3 chopped onions in Slits
1 cup besan (gram flour)
2 finely chopped onions
2 finely chopped tomatoes
1 tbsp chopped green chillies
3 tsp red chilly powder
1 tsp asafoetida
2 tsp khus-khus
1 tsp turmeric powder
5 tsp oil
1 tbsp finely chopped coriander
oil for frying
Salt to taste

Method

For Tikki :

1. Take a bowl and add finely chopped onion, green chillies, besan, coriander, salt, asafoetida, khus-khus, 3 tsp oil and mix it well.
2. Knead it well and add water if required for kneading.
3. Make small tikkies and keep aside.
4. Heat the oil and fry the tikkies till it turns brown.

For Gravy :

1. Heat 2 tsp oil in a kadai.
2. Add onion slits, chopped tomato, salt, red chilly powder, tumeric powder and mix it well.
3. keep at low flame and cook for 20 mins.
4. Add tikies before serving.
