Buffwada Recipe


On this occasion of Shivratri I have post a recipe of Buffwada, which is very delicious fasting dish and easy to make with lots of nutritious.

Ingredients

1 cup boiled, peeled and mashed potatoes
1 tbsp powdered groundnuts
1 cup grated coconut
1/2 tsp chopped raisins (kismis)
1/2 tsp chopped cashewnuts
1 tbsp ginger-chilli paste
1 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves
1 tsp powdered sugar
1 tsp lime juice
2 tbsp arrow-root flour for coating
Oil to fry
Salt to taste

Method

1) Mix groundnut powder, coconut, raisins, cashewnuts, ginger-chilli paste for stuffing.
2) Mix potatoes, arrow-root, 1 tbsp of oil, coriander leaves, lemon juice and salt for the outer layer.
3) Flatten a portion of the potato mixture into circle and Stuff the mixture in it and bring together the edges in the centre to seal the stuffing and shape it into a round and keep aside.
4) Heat the oil in a kadhai and deep-fry the pattice on a medium flame till they turn light brown in colour from all the sides.
5) Serve it Hot.
