Jeera Aloo Recipe


Jeera Aloo is a dry and spicy dish. You can also have it as farali dish(fasting dish) also.

Ingredients

3-4 potatos
2 tsp cumin seeds
1/4 tsp asafoetida
1 tsp coriander powder
2 tsp chilli powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
2 tbsp oil
1 tsp lemon juice
1/2 cup water
Salt to taste


Method

1). Cut the potatoes into cubes and keep aside.
2). Heat the oil into the pan and add cumin seeds.
3). When they crackle add asafoetida into the oil.
4). Add potatoes, salt, chilli powder, turmeric powder and coriander powder.
5). Add water into it.
6). Deep Fry thr potatoes untill it get soften.
7). Add Lemon juice and mix it well.
8). Serve hot with roti, puri or naan.
