Mixed Curry Beans is very healthy and nutritious pulses cooked very easy and less amount of time. It is very tasty with rice and rotis.
Ingredients
1/4 cup whole green gram (green moong)
1/4 cup black-eyed beans (chowli dal)
1/4 cup Red Kidney Beans (rajma)
1/4 cup moth beans (matki)
1/4 cup dried peas (suka vatana)
1/4 cup Chick Peas (chana)
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp cumin seeds
1/4 tsp asafoetida
2-3 red chili in small pieces
1 tsp green chili-ginger paste
1/2 tso tamarind pulp
1 tbsp jaggery
2 tbsp oil
salt to taste
Method
1. Wash the pulses and soak them in water overnight.
2. Boil pulses into pressure cook in 2 cups of water and salt for 4-5 wistles.
3. Heat the oil in a pan, add the mustard seeds, cumin seeds and let them crackle.
4. Once it crackles add asafoetida.
5. Add green chilli-ginger paste and fry for a few seconds.
5. Add the boiled pulses, tamarind and jaggery pulp and salt if needed.
6. Mix it well and simmer for 5 minutes.
7. Serve it hot with chapatis, roti or rice.
