Moraiyo Recipe


Moriyo is usually eat in fasting, it is very light and healthy. This is perfect for dieting. It is low in calorie and it has no cholesterol.

Ingredients

1 cup Moraiyo
3 Cups Water
1/2 tsp grated ginger
1/2 tsp red chili powder
1 tsp oil
1 tsp cumin Seeds
1 potato finely chopped in very small pieces
1 tbsp roasted peanuts
Salt to taste

Method

1. Wash Moraiyo and add some water in it and keep aside for half an hour.
2. Heat oil in deep vessel.
3. Add cumin seeds and let them crackle, once it crackles add potatoes into it and fry it for 5 mins.
4. Add water into it and sauté for 5 minutes and add Moraiyo and cook for a minute.
5. Add salt, ginger, peanuts and red chili powder into the vessel and stir it well.
6. Cover it with lid and cook until Moraiyo is cooked well and creamy.
7. Serve hot with curd.
