Crispy Taro roots(Arbi) Recipe



Crispy Arbi is very great appetizer which is very crispy and spicy to eat. It is consider as a side dish. It is a dry sabji so you can have it with curd also.

Ingredients

7-8 Taro roots (Arbi)
1/2 tsp asafoetida
1/2 tsp ajwain seeds
1 tsp cumin seeds powder
1 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
1/2 tsp amchur
5-6 curry leaves
4 tbsp oil to stir fry
salt to taste

Method

1. Wash the taro roots and make it dry.
2. Peel it and slice each into two.
3. Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium high heat.
4. Add ajwain, curry leaves and asafoetida and let them crackles.
5. Add salt into the frying pan and mix it well.
6. Add Arbi pieces into it and let them fry for 10-15 mins or until they are tender.
7. Add red chilli powder, cumin seeds powder, amchur or garam masala into it and mix it well and cook them for 5 mins.
8. Serve the Crispy Arbi.
