Shrikhand Recipe

Shrikhand is very popular sweet dish of India on some special occasions or festivals. It is made of pureed yogurt. It is one of the main desserts in Gujarati cuisine and Maharashtrian cuisine.

Ingredients

5 cups thick curd
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp saffron strands
1/2 cup almonds crushed
1/2 cup pista crushed
1 tbsp warm milk
1 tsp cardamom powder

Method

1. Tie curd in a clean muslin cloth overnight or 5-6 hours.
2. In a bowl mix curd and sugar, mix it well and blend it with hand blender
3. Rub the saffron into the warm milk until it dissolves and mix it into curd.
4. Now add crushed cardamom powder, almonds, pista and mix it well.
5. Put it into refrigerator for 1-2 hour.
6 Serve shrikhand with Puris.
