Sell Dhokla is a derived recipe form of Gujarati dhokla and Sindhi sell bread or roti. It is a dhokla innovation recipe and make raw dhokla to tongue licking or mouth watering which is very light and crisp snack.
Ingredients
For Dhokla :
3 cups curd
1/4 cup semolina (suji)
1/2 tsp eno
salt to taste
For Sell Dhokla :
1 tsp oil
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 cup finely chopped cabbage
1/2 cup finely chopped capsicum
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1/4 cup finely chopped coriander
1/2 cup finely chopped carrot
1/2 cup finely chopped semi-boiled potato(optional as per wish)
1/2 cup finely chopped tomato
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
lemon juice to taste
salt to taste
Method
For Dhokla :
1. Take a bowl and add curd, semolina and eno.
2. Mix it and blend it well .
3. Pre-heat the dhokla cooker and grease the dhokla molds with oil.
4. Add the mixture in the dhokla molds.
5. Add molds in cooker and keep the flame high for 5 mins on low for 5 mins then put off the flame and give 10 mins to cool down.
6. Open the cooker and cut the dhokla pieces in small squares.
For Sell Dhokla :
1. Take a pan.
2. Add 1 tsp of oil wait till it becomes hot, then add mustard seeds and wait for 30 seconds till it crackles.
3. Add cabbage, onion, carrot, potato and mix all vegetables.
4. Stir fry the vegetables for 7-10 mins.
5. Add tomato and mix it well then add salt, turmeric, chilli-powder, lemon juice and mix it.
6. Stir fry it for another 5-7 mins.
7. Garnish with coriander.
8. Sell dhokla are ready to serve.
