Paneer Butter Masala Recipe



Paneer Butter Masala is a rich and creamy north Indian dish full of cottage panner and butter. This dish is very tasty when served with Naan, Tandoori Roti, Plain Rice or Jeera rice.

Ingredients

2 tbsp oil or ghee
1 lbs paneer (cottagte cheese) cubes
4 - 5 onion
4 - 5 chopped tomatoes
4 - 5 chopped Garlic
2 to 3 chopped green chillies
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp chilli powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 cup water
1 tsp garam masala
1 bay leaf(tejpatta)
1 tbsp butter
salt to taste
Fresh chopped Coriander Leaves

Method

1. Fry the onion,garlic and make a paste of tomato, onion and garlic in to the mixture.
2. Fry the panner.
3. In pan heat oil/ghee, add cumin seed, bay leaf, green chilies, chili powder,turmeric powder, garam masala, salt and saute for 2 mins.
4. Add the tomato, onion and garlic paste and water and saute for 5-7 mins.
5. Add fry panner and butter.
6. Garnish with Coriander and serve hot with roti or naan. Even you can eat with rice also.
